PUTTING PIGMENT BACK INTO WHITENED SKIN
This new procedure was developed for treating major burn patients. The procedure involves harvesting your own skin cells such as keratinocytes, melanocytes and fibroblasts and then seeding them in damaged abnormal skin. As these cell divide and proliferate it can enable better wounded skin healing and repigmentation.
ReCell can be used to repigment areas of white (hypopigmented) skin such as in scars, viltigo and after deep resurfacing eg laser, dermabrasion or chemical peels.
Treatment with ERBIUM laser is necessary to prepare the site for the new pigment cell application.
